Many of us have lost touch of when we are hungry, truly hungry. We eat because it's time to eat. Even though we are not hungry, we eat. Just eat when you are starving. If you are not hungry, then you don’t have to eat. If you are a little hungry, eat a little and then, honor fullness. When you are full, ah, put the food aside. But the thing is this: you are wasting food.

If you really need an extra diet, go ahead. But what is good for one person may not be good for another. You have to find your own way. I mean to eat food, what kind of food you can eat. The context includes drinking. Don’t push this beyond anything else. The principle of LIFE is not dieting. Diet doesn’t work. It works initially. And it works really dramatically. But usually, if you never know, after you are off the diet, it comes back with a vengeance. Mr. flab will revisit you because you know why? The body doesn’t know it is on a diet, the body says “starving!!”
So you know, when people are starving, you know what happens to their metabolic rate? It slows down to conserve fat, for energy, for future use. The problem is that when you do that, your metabolism slows down, and you might lose weight for a while, but after that, when you are off that diet, your metabolic rate remains slow. But when you eat a bit here and there and all that, your metabolic rate will burn up, and you will lose weight. We’ve drowned hunger, we’ve drowned fullness. We eat and eat when we’re hungry until we are surfeited, too full and then we feel pain, that’s bad. So honor hunger, get back in touch with hunger. Find out when you’re really hungry, and get back in touch with fullness.
